I just bought my first condo with the help of Susan. Let me say from the outset, Susan is a stellar agent and totally exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend Susan for anyone looking for a realtor. To be honest, I was hesitant at first, I had never done this and was very nervous, so I examined my options - I had a choice of agents between a referral from work and also I decided to check reviews online. Susan obviously has great reviews. I had not met Susan but I knew about ReMax, so I made an appointment to chat. I chose her because I sent my requirements and she sent much more information, faster, than any other agent I was considering. Her response time to my questions was very fast, day or night, no matter the circumstances, text or email or phone. Plus, she has a law degree, which helps to explain her incredible eye for detail and great negotiation ability. When the price suddenly dropped on a condo on my short list, Susan quickly worked within my requirements and connected me to my new home. She was also able to refer a home inspector and law firm for all the matters together. She also helped anyone I needed, the mortgage broker etc... altogether I am very satisfied. I am the type of person who gets anxious in a sales situation if I feel like I am being pushed into something. With Susan, she was never pushy to get me to buy something that didn't work for me. She was always working FOR me, and I never felt like she was encouraging me to buy something just to make the sale. Susan always came prepared to a showing with property comparisons so I knew what similar properties had recently sold for. She was flexible with last-minute changes, and went above and beyond to contact properties/agents for showings. She helped me to offer a fair price, and was knowledgeable about a fair price to offer on purchase. She returned calls/texts promptly. I have no negative things to say about this amazing woman. I can't say enough good words about my experience working with Susan. It started accidentally when we stopped by an Open House that she hosted at UBC. Susan was very pleasant and welcoming, and even though we quickly identified the property as 'not what we were looking for', nothing in Susan's attitude changed. She masterfully wove important pieces of information (for any buyer) in our quick conversation, listened to our concerns, asked appropriate questions, and I knew right then that Susan would be the only real estate agent that I ever wanted to work with. The result of our informal conversation that day was that Susan set us up with personal online access to information on properties and areas of our specific interest, and any question I would e-mail even late in the evening, Susan answered almost immediately. She'd even intuitively figure out what prompted me for such question, and provided me with concrete additional information that somehow always helped me resolve my buyer's dilemmas. Any viewings we were interested in, Susan promptly arranged for, gathered for us all the necessary information, followed up with questions and answers, I literally did not have to think about anything - all was prepared and presented to us in the most adequate way. Even when we decided to completely change our course, Susan seamlessly amended what was necessary, and she kept assisting us with the same interest and involvement on this new course. Within a month, we found our 'Ideal place', and a new amazement with Susan's professionalism hit us. She quickly made contact with the selling agent, kept us informed even by minute of anything she was aware of or informed by the selling agent, and she helped us with promptly obtained information towards making an offer that we were comfortable with and that was attractive enough for the seller. Paperwork after that, instead of being a hassle, was another positive experience. It all went so smoothly that I felt like I just got a property for a present, that's how painless and least time consuming it was for me. Meanwhile, Susan worked on everything, remembered every single detail that had to be done, checked, verified between the offer acceptance, removal of conditions, and the official possession. I am thrilled with our decision and the property purchase we made with Susan's invaluable help, and I without any reservation whatsoever, most highly recommend Susan for her highest expertise in her business. She helped me sell my classic home on Main Street in a difficult down market. My joking nickname for her: Wonderwoman, because of her extraordinary abilities. Since then she has assisted me in buying 2 other homes. The first a condo in Mt. Pleasant. For the second she organized with true military precision a 15 house tour in Chilliwack that was outstanding and resulted in me finding just the right house. Both buys were excellent purchases. I can not sing her praises enough. She is very smart, efficient and scrupulously honest. She arranged everything for me every step of the way, inspections, staging, tradespeople, moving, paperwork, all arranged in advance. Susan made the process so easy. Her assistance ranged far beyond that of a realtor. Her advice has been invaluable. Susan is a rare find. With her you will not go wrong.
