Finding a decent place to rent is always a difficult task. It becomes even more tough when you are in a new country/city with limited knowledge of the local market. Same happened to us when we moved to Ottawa. Renting a house was more difficult than we initially thought and after spending more than one month, we couldn’t find the right place in Ottawa. We also came across few real estate agents who encouraged us to accept unreasonable lease terms of the landlord just to for their commission.
