Jorie Gough is, quite simply, the best! We cannot imagine a more competent, knowledgeable, helpful, and patient realtor or a nicer person than Jorie. We were Manitoba-based buyers hoping to find a B.C. winter retirement home and we could only spend a week in Courtenay. She understood our priorities and the factors which would make a given property ineligible. She shared with us the pros and cons of the city’s various neighbourhoods. When we debated as to whether we could consider purchasing a property which had a tenant, her considerable knowledge of the province’s tenant-landlord legislation was most helpful. She always answered our questions clearly and when she did not know the answer, she made the necessary inquiries right away. At the end of the week we had not managed to find what we were looking for, but she was not giving up on us. She has such a positive attitude and sincerely believes that the desired purchase will happen when the time is right. She told us about her very favorite customer, a man who was desperate to provide a home for his family as well as his elderly father. In a hot seller’s market his offer to purchase was rejected time after time. It was only on his 13th attempt that he was successful and ended up with a home that was just right for him. She was confident that we too would eventually be lucky. We returned to Manitoba, but continued to receive listings from her. She toured one property on our behalf, commenting on its features as she videotaped what she was seeing. In the end we decided to purchase that property and she explained the process we would use as absentee buyers. With the aid of modern technology (i.e. Zoom meetings and digital signature software) we were able to place our offer. She helped put us in touch with a building inspector and a notary. We cannot say enough good things about Jorie. She knows absolutely everything she needs to know and more, she gives unstintingly of her time and, on top of all that, she is a sweetheart!

Jorie and the Bryce Hansen Team are fantastic to work with. They are experts in the local market and got our place sold in a timely fashion in a changing market. Living out of the country we felt always at ease as she handled everything seamlessly from the contract and negotiations, to going the "extra mile" by helping us return cable boxes when we were unable to. Jorie was amazing to work with as a first time home buyer with a small budget. She made us feel like we were her top priority even though it was a cheap sale. She explained all the steps in detail on the whole process so we were never confused or overwhelmed. She was always available on weekends to answer our endless questions and we don't have a vehicle so she would pick us up for seeing homes and always made us feel very welcome.

Jorie was a fantastic real estate agent to work with. She was honest and went out of her way to accommodate us. When we did find our home, Jorie was there with us every step on the way and helped elevate a lot of stress. I highly recommend her to anyone needing an agent!

We don't even know where to begin! We considered moving from the lower mainland to the island over a year ago. Jorie kept us up to date with market update newsletters and just checked in from time to time. Once we decided it was time to make our move a reality, Jorie was there for us from the get go. Because she grew up on the island she was very familiar with the communities we were looking at. She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable in every aspect of her profession. If there was something she could not answer (which was rare), she would get the answer in a moments notice. She bent over backwards for us. She made arrangements to view homes on very short notice. We were selling and buying at the same time which had it's stressful moments. Jorie went above and beyond to assist us with some issues that arose while finalizing our purchase which really helped relieve some of the stress! She is there for you and genuinely cares about finding the perfect home for her clients and making the process stress free. She is AWESOME. We HIGHLY recommend her.
