My husband and I are first time home buyers with absolutely no idea where to start in terms of looking for a realtor. So, we did what everyone else does and asked on a public social media forum who people would recommend. Our criteria: someone who works with first timers. Someone who will work FOR US and not *just* for the money. Someone who will move heaven and Earth to help us find a home (our province is in a serious housing crisis, and homes are insanely expensive at the moment). Several people recommended Jo and she also reached out to me. I sent her a link to the home we were interested in, thinking it would he a few days before I could view - i was viewing the following afternoon. Whenever I sent a property to Jo, I was always viewing it less than 24 hours later! Jo has a wide range of work experience. I don't think there is an industry she hasn't worked in. This allows her to have a great deal of knowledge around the inner workings and "guts" of the house. She knows what Piping should be used and where, if something is off with the plumbing, septic, electrical system etc. I feel very confident in saying that Jo will notice it and inform you of what it will take to fix it and where that can be negotiated in price or if it's even within your budget or lifestyle to fix it. This saved us so much time (and money) in inspections because we trust Jo. Sidenote: always get an inspection! This is in terms of getting one on every house you really "love". We felt informed enough by Jo's knowledge to continue looking at other properties if she noticed something instead of paying for an inspection for them to tell us the same thing...or lie! Jo also has connections that will help you save! Ask her about window replacement ;). Overall, Jo is passionate about real-estate and people! She truly loves what she does and that is palpable. She is personable, kind, beyond knowledge and most important, trustworthy. Jo is a phenomenal realtor who will work for you and with you to get you into your dream home. Thank you, Jo!!!

This review cannot do Joanne justice. She is an incredible realtor and even better person. She gets things done and done well. I don’t think I was an easy client because I had relocated to the United States. Joanne took care of every detail including several that I considered above and beyond the job of a realtor. She staged the place beautifully and marketed it using the most high-end, up to date technology. She set the right price in a market that was tightening due to higher interest rates and it sold quickly. She made necessary referrals well in advance and everyone she referred was awesome. We experienced damage from a water overflow and Joanne handled all of that including getting the condo association to pay for repairs (remember, I was out of country). I could go on and on about how much Joanne did and how wonderful she is. We’re done with the sale but still in touch. I no longer live in Nova Scotia but consider Joanne a good friend now and plan to see her whenever I visit. I recommend Joanne without reservation. I might buy property in Nova Scotia again just so I can work with her again. She’s truly the best.
