I was acting as agent for a friend who had moved overseas years prior, looking after her house, dealing with tenants etc., as she had plans to return to Calgary at some point in time. However, due to circumstances that arose while she was living in Turkey, she had to make the hard decision to sell her house in Calgary. I got in touch with Steve, who I knew, and asked him if he was willing to take on the rather daunting task of selling the property while the owner lived overseas. Steve was great. He got all the correct people to help my friend through the rather fraught experience of selling her home in Calgary (as she lived in Turkey there were federal taxation laws, international money transfers, Turkish laws etc., to contend with). He was professional, knowledgeable in the market and effected the best deal possible for my friend given the real estate market at the time (late 2019). Dealing with someone in a different time zone, where internet services are not always the most reliable and there are time constraints had the potential to be very very frustrating but Steve handled all these issues with grace and a smile. If I were selling/buying, I would use Steve as my agent.

Since we purchased the house, my wife and I and our two daughters only continue to fall more in love with it and Steve has even dropped buy dressed up for Halloween to come say hi and bring treats for our kiddos which was a big hit and fun time !
