<p>We have been lucky to be a part of the Seascapes development since the beginning of Phase 1, and still are owners at Seascapes. We watched our places being built and each of the 4 phases unfold to completion. Seascapes has become a true gem in West Vancouver: private yet accessible, fantastic designs; and then there are the views! Over the years, we have had enough experience with realtors and agents to know how important they are in a successful real estate transaction. We were already aware of a number of agents in the greater Vancouver area and were introduced to a few “newcomers” to the Seascapes area via mailings we received. After considerable research, we chose to proceed by interviewing a short list of top-rated agents, including one who was new to us: Craig Doherty. We interviewed all of the agents much like we were hiring an employee for one of our businesses. We ended up with two who rose to the top of the list of criteria we were using. What made us choose Craig was his determination to succeed ethically in whatever he did in life, and how he presented and handled himself under pressure. Craig made it clear that he did not promise or commit to anything unless he was willing to actually do it. We have dealt with many agents who make the commitments to get the listing, then don’t do the follow through to sell the listing. Craig approached this head on and said that is not how he worked, period. Craig's background in law and his success in business gave us the confidence to take him at his word and trust him; and we weren’t disappointed. It was a refreshing experience working with Craig throughout all phases from the listing to the closing. Craig was eager to learn from us about the intricacies of this development that we love, and repeatedly demonstrated his ability to translate that knowledge and sincerity at numerous open houses and interactions with interested parties. However, where his unique background and skill-set really shone was at the offer stage; his negotiation skills are really quite remarkable. However, you’ll have to engage him to see what we mean: but it will be the best real estate choice you may ever make. We’re happy that we did.</p>

<p>I first listed my property with another agent and was not satisfied by the service, lack of reporting, or results. At termination of the agent's agreement, I sought an agent that would provide clarity and appreciate the uniqueness of my property. I have been totally happy working with Craig since he listed the property. He always kept me updated on progress, worked every prospect thoroughly, and provided sound market advice. Craig and his team devised a marketing plan that attracted serious buyers, he worked exhaustively over the holiday period and always happy to go out of his way to attend to extra demands. I have no hesitation in recommending Craig to prospective clients.</p>

<p>My husband and I recently purchased a two-bedroom condo in Port Moody as well as a condo in Vancouver (West End.) We were so thankful to have Craig Doherty as our realtor to help and guide us through this process. Purchasing one property at a realistic price in this incredibly hot market is no easy feat, but Craig was able to help us purchase two condos, one at list price, and one just below list price. His patient and realistic approach enabled us to stick to our goals, and not get caught up in the craziness of the market. He was prepared to write as many offers as it took to find the right place at the right price. Craig was trustworthy and professional throughout the process, both when advising us, and when negotiating on our behalf. His background as a lawyer gave us confidence in knowing that we had all our bases covered when completing the paperwork. Craig is a great communicator and always kept us up to date on the progress of the market and any of our offers, and when it came down to the wire, he was able to write offers quickly and confidently, so we did not miss out on any opportunities. In some cases he was doing this at 11PM at night to ensure that we were in the best possible position for our offer. What a pleasure it has been working with Craig! We would have no hesitation in recommending him to any potential clients.</p>

<p>We just recently listed and sold our house through Craig and we could not have been happier with the result. We had only owned the property for a very short period of time and when putting it to market we were concerned that all the agents where signing from the same price book. Craig was the only one that took the time to look at the bigger picture and understand the uniqueness of the property as well as our desire to achieve a market-leading price. During the sale process he always keep us informed with written updates on who attended and what their relative interest levels were in our house. We found this level of detail and commitment very reassuring during the final negotiations on the sale of the house. Craig’s wiliness to go above and beyond with scheduling and changes certainly made what was a very emotional decision a lot easier and ultimately successful. I have no hesitation in recommending Craig to any buyer or seller wishing to list their home.</p>

Friendly, charismatic, and honest, Craig handled every aspect of the marketing and selling of my home in a manner that, quite frankly, I could not get from the other realtors here in West Vancouver.  I felt like I had an insightful, experienced and hardworking partner who treated me like I was his only client. I never waited on a returned phone call or a prompt response.  When it was time to negotiate with a buyer Craig listened to me and he protected my interest with skillful precision. Craig, truthfully, did everything he said he would do. I am fortunate to have worked with him on what might be the most important business endeavor of my life.</p>
